Privacy Policy

Who this covers
This policy covers meghanswidler.com, run by Meghan Swidler (“I”, “me”). It explains what information the site collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
What I collect
When you sign up for the newsletter, your first name and email address, which you give me through the signup form.
When you email me, whatever you choose to include.
When you visit, the company that hosts the site keeps standard technical records, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure it.
To see how the site is used, it counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages are viewed, the site that sent you here, and your country, browser and type of device. It uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you or follow you to other sites.
How I use it
To send you the newsletter you asked for, to reply to you, and to keep the site running. I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for me
Kit stores newsletter subscribers and sends the newsletter. Vercel hosts the site and counts visits. Each handles your information only to provide its service, under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and your browser
This site doesn’t set its own cookies. Your browser remembers whether you’ve already seen the opening introduction, until you close the tab, and whether you’ve closed the quiz box, for 2 weeks. Neither leaves your device. The newsletter form is provided by Kit, which may set cookies of its own.
Links to other sites
The site links to other services, including Substack, Calendly, Typeform, Amazon and the brands on the Shop page. Some of those are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you buy. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one doesn’t cover them.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email me at any time to see the information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and I’ll do it.
Children
The site isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, email me and I’ll remove them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
